ICA Hosts Poetry Book Launch for Syrian-Kurdish Poet Adnan Hassan (Greebo) in Lünen, Germany

Lünen, July 26, 2025 — Amid the difficult times faced by the Syrian people in general and the Kurdish community in particular, the International Cultural Academy organized a special literary evening in Lünen, Germany, dedicated to the launch of the poetry collection Golband by poet Adnan Hassan (Greebo).

The event opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Mamdouh Ali, who invited attendees to observe a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs of the homeland. Following the tribute, the evening featured poetry readings from distinguished poets, including Alwan Shavan, whose verses reflected the human tragedies of the Syrian conflict, Roshan Youssef, who wove themes of love and nostalgia for her native “Jiyayi Kurming” and “City of Olives,” and Noh Suleiman, who shared evocative poetic flashes capturing the lived reality of Kurdish life.

The highlight of the evening was reserved for Adnan Hassan, introduced by Dr. Ali with a reading of his biography and literary beginnings. Hassan then recited selections from Golband, exploring deeply human experiences—ranging from the struggles of young Kurdish girls forced into early marriage under outdated traditions, to reflections on resilience, hope, and the pursuit of happiness.

Following the readings, the audience engaged the poet with questions about his works and inspirations. After a short intermission, attendees had the opportunity to obtain signed copies of Golband. The evening concluded with words of gratitude from Dr. Mamdouh Ali, marking the event as both a celebration of Kurdish literature and a testament to the enduring power of poetry in times of struggle.

أقامتِ الأكاديميةُ الثقافيةُ الدوليةُ في مدينةِ لونن الألمانية يومَ أمسِ السبت، الموافق 26/07/2025، حفلاً لتوقيعِ المجموعةِ الشعريةِ للشاعرِ عدنان حسن (غريبو).

وشاركَهُ في القراءاتِ الشعريةِ كلٌّ من الشعراءِ: علوان شفان، نوح سليمان، روشان يوسف…

بدأَ الحفلُ بكلمةٍ ترحيبيةٍ ألقاها الدكتورُ ممدوح علي، الذي دعا الحضورَ للوقوفِ دقيقةَ صمتٍ على أرواحِ شهداءِ الوطن.

وبعدَ دقيقةِ الصمت، قرأَ الشاعرُ علوان شفان عدداً من قصائدِه التي حملت في مضامينِها مآسيَ إنسانية، وصوّرت ما آلَ إليهِ الوضعُ السوريُّ منذُ بدايةِ الثورةِ السوريةِ وحتى يومِنا هذا.

أما الشاعرةُ روشان يوسف، فقد ألقتْ قصائدَ حبٍّ، ولم تتوانَ لحظةً عن ذكرِ مسقطِ رأسها “جيايي كورمينج” و”مدينةِ الزيتون” في كتاباتِها.

فيما أضاءَ الشاعرُ نوح سليمان “فلاشاتٍ شعريةً” تحملُ أجملَ الصورِ البيانية، وتعكسُ واقعَ الإنسانِ الكرديِّ في كلِّ ساعاتِه وأيّامِه.

وكانت الفُسحةُ الأكبرُ في نهايةِ الحفلِ للشاعرِ عدنان حسن، حيثُ قرأَ مقدّمُ الحفلِ، الدكتورُ ممدوح علي، بعضاً من سطورِ حياتِه وبداياتِه الشعرية، ثمّ أُتيحَ المجالُ للشاعرِ نفسِه، الذي عبّرَ عن سعادتِه بهذا التقديم، وواصلَ قراءةَ عددٍ من قصائدِه التي حملتْ في طيّاتِها حالاتٍ إنسانيةً، سواءً كانت تبعثُ على الحسِّ الإنساني، أو تتناولُ ما عانَته الفتياتُ الكرديّاتُ في ظلِّ العاداتِ والتقاليدِ الباليةِ التي كانت سائدةً في زمنٍ ما، كالزواجِ المبكّر، وما تتحمّلهُ الفتاةُ الصغيرةُ من صعوبةِ الأيامِ في كنفِ رجلٍ يكبُرُها بعشراتِ السنين، رجلٍ تسكنهُ الأفكارُ الشرقية.

كما قرأَ قصيدةً تدعو إلى التمسّكِ بالحياةِ والعملِ على خلقِ السعادة.

وبعدَ أن أنهى الشاعرُ عدنان حسن (غريبو) قراءاتِه الشعرية، فُسحَ المجالُ أمامَ الجمهورِ لطرحِ الأسئلةِ حولَ بعضِ قصائدِه وماهيّةِ كتاباتِه.

وبعدَ استراحةٍ قصيرة، اقتنى كلُّ واحدٍ من الحضورِ نسختَهُ من مجموعة “گولبند” للشاعرِ عدنان حسن (غريبو).

وهكذا، اختُتمَ الحفلُ بكلمةِ شكرٍ من مقدّمِ الحفل، الدكتورِ والمسرحيِّ ممدوح علي.
